The theme for this year World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2021 is “Action and Investment in Menstrual Hygiene and Health.”
A world without period poverty and stigma is possible. But to achieve our joint goal by 2030, we cannot wait for the Covid-19 pandemic to end. We need to step up action and investment in menstrual health and hygiene (MHH) NOW!
– everyone can access and afford the menstrual product of their choice
– period stigma is history
– eveyone has basic information about menstruation (this also includes boys and men)
– everyone can access period-friendly water, sanitation & hygiene facilities everywhere.
To end period poverty and stigma by 2030, we need significantly more investment in menstrual health and hygiene NOW!
